The Community Server software we're using makes it very easy to attach a file to a blog post. The biggest restriction is that you can only attach one file at a time right now. I'll see if I can find a way around this.
Here's how to attach a file:
- Check the Advanced Options checkbox on the right side of the page just above the title box (this will display some more tabs).
- Click on the Post Attachments tab.
- Click the Add/Update button.
- Click the browse button in the Attach File box that popped up.
- Use the File Upload box to select the file you want to attach (highlight it and click Open).
- Click the Save button in the bottom right of the Attach File box.
After doing this, your file should be attached when you publish the post.
Here are some suggestions I would offer:
- You might want to note you've attached the file at the bottom of your post because the attachments don't stand out as well as I would like.
- If you have an image (.gif, .jpg, etc.), you can display it in your post by typing [ImageAttachment] where you want it to go.
