Robert Scoble, one of the best known technology bloggers I regularly read, recently wrote about the blog trust network.
He does a great job explaining how it works. It's not too
different from any other type of networking.
In
a few
words, people just use their blogs to tell the world about other blogs
or websites and link to them. Readers who trust the blog author
can then get to know about the other blog which has been given
credibility through the relationship the referring blog's owner has
with the reader.
This
is the sort of network blogs can enable for missionaries. You can
continue to build your support network from the mission field!
This
blog doesn't have many readers now, but I hope to develop a
relationship with missionaries interested in technology and enable them
to connect with each other through these means.
In the past I've
spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to develop a website that
would help missionaries network. That could take months of full time
work. Right now it only takes me a few minutes to create a blog
on this site. Blogs are the new easy to use networking tool.
If you are a missionary who wants to tap into this networking resource, get in touch with conference leadership or contact me.
