Summer Service
Every summer since 1961, teams of young people have gone to all parts of the world under the sponsorship of the New Wilmington Missionary Conference. Through the years over 300 young men and women have seen the work of Christ firsthand at mission stations of the Presbyterian Church.
Each year the returning team shares their experiences with delegates and visitors during Conference week. Young people have served in Alaska, Appalachia, California, Philadelphia, Puerto Rico, southwestern United States; and Brazil, Columbia, Cuba, Ethiopia, Egypt, France, Italy, Guatemala, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Korea, Malawi, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Pakistan, the Philippines, Siberia, Slovenia, Tanzania, Thailand, and Wales.
Young adults may apply for the program during their second through fourth summers after graduation. Applications are provided and interviews conducted during Conference.
For information and application procedures contact Rev. Pam Maloney.
