    I need some prayer.

Hi, i'm kalyn, i'm a high school delegate, and i'm getting ready to move. again. i'll have to switch school districts, again, and i'm having a hard time. I'm moving out of my mother's because of her boyfriend. i'm scared of him, i don't like him, nor do i trust him. My mother will be extremely mad when i tell her, and i ask that you pray that she won't be totally angered. i know it'll upset her, but i've got to look out for myself, not my mom, or anyone else for that matter. i ask that you pray that i will definitely follow through with moving out, and settle for nothing less. i've backed out before, but i can't this time. i have to go. please, send me some encouragement. i'm so glad i havemy dad, my church, and nwmc. i don't know what i'd do without them. well, i do, but it wouldn't be pretty.

    Kalyn,
    You're in our prayers.
You should ask an adult you trust (your pastor maybe) to be nearby for support and to give aid if needed.
This is not something a young girl like you should have to do alone.

Maybe your new school will turn out to be a blessing for you. Keep your chin up.

Remember Phil.4:13  "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

    Re: I need some prayer.

i have another update. my dad called the court yesterday to find out about me moving from my mom's... and, i can't move unless we go to court. and even then, my only option is to move with my dad and switch districts. so, i'm stuck for now. :( oh well, i guess He's answering prayers the way He wants it.

    Re: In need of prayer!

well, Jim had chemo and radiation treatments.. the lumps in his throat have gone down, but there is one that is still quite visible. he is back to eating food via mouth, but only a little. They said his taste buds should grow back in about 3 months. his weight is down a lot and the doctor won't let him go back to work til he's at least 125 lbs. he is currently only 113... He has been really optimistic about this, and he appreciates all of the prayers he gets. i am amazed at how God works. When i met Jim, he did not strike me as a Christian. i've known him for about 5 years and never once did anything he say strike me as christian. his son, Devin(he's 14), claims to be an athiest and Jim told him that he and his beliefs could either keep quiet or get out of the house. Devin has kept quiet. Jim has many people praying for him. The nurses said that they were going to miss him because he was one of the few patients they have seen with such a great attitude and trust in God. i am proud of him, my sister, and nephews for just trusting.

    Re: I need some prayer.

Hey Kalyn!! I met you at the mission conference. I'd put a pic. up of me but I'm not sure how to on here. I'ts probably really easy and I'll most likely end up feeling pretty dumb. Any way, I wanted to talk to you and pray with you when you told me your story but I never got the chance to. So, leave me a message any time so we can talk!! You are a very nice person and I can't wait to see you and every one else again next year!!

     God bless
