Middle School Speaker
Bill Beattie said, “The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think – rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with thoughts of other men.” – This is how I hope to educate and this quote reminds me every day what education really is.
My goal is to love my students and to tell them they are worthy of love and deserve the best. I believe in caring for all people and loving people for who they are and where they are in life. My favorite quote right now was said by Lin Manuel-MIranda at the 2016 Tony Awards: “Love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love cannot be killed or swept aside.”
When I am away from my school, I am usually hanging out with my family, playing or coaching Ultimate Frisbee, reading, or watching football and basketball.
