The Iraq Partnership Network is a Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) partners with and supports Presbyterian congregations in Iraq. PC(USA) currently has two mission co-workers serving in Iraq, and a regional liaison who visits there regularly. Many PC(USA) congregations and individuals in the USA coordinate their efforts through the Iraq Partnership Network. The PC(USA) also helps our Iraqi churches connect with other Presbyterian churches in the region, such as the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Egypt, the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, and the Reformed Church in Kuwait.
The IPN shares financial gifts with these congregations for worship, Sunday School, prayer and Bible Study groups. We have helped to build kindergartens and child care centers, and have helped to restore flood damage in one of the churches. We have supported FM Christian radio stations throughout Iraq, and a prison visitation ministry to women prisoners in northern Iraq. Since the fall of Mosul to ISIS in 2014, the IPN has helped to raise awareness and funding for internally displace refugees many of who are staying in church buildings. In addition, funding has helped provide clothing, food, shelter, mattresses, blankets, heaters, coolers, and many other needed supplies to other refugees camps throughout Kurdistan.
The Annual Meeting of the Iraq Partnership Network will be held at the New Wilmington Mission Conference on July 24th and 25th, 2017.
