  • My Last Post on the PCUSA and RSS (Hopefully)

I really didn't want to post this, but feel I have to in the interest of full disclosure.  The PCUSA website has removed all references to RSS on their home page.  I'm disappointed, but hopeful they are working to utilize this powerful tool more effectively.

  • PCUSA.org Highlights its RSS feeds

After some of my recent rants and suggestions about how the PCUSA has been using RSS on its website, I have to give them props for highlighting a link to the page with their RSS feeds on their home page.  While I don't know that my comments had anything to do with it, the denomination is clearly trying to showcase its feeds.  ...

  • Some Reasons the PCUSA Should Use a Full-Text RSS Feed

I'm still not entirely thrilled with the tone my last few posts about RSS and the Presbyterian Church (USA).  I think the last one was pretty accurate, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.  I hope to contrast those posts with some suggestions.  Almost each one has the purpose of making it easier for people to get their ...

  • PCUSA & RSS Feeds Clarification

I need to thank Christy Ramsey for bringing it to my attention that I didn't explain how this was resolved as completely as I should have, so here it is.  I also want to clarify that my purpose for writing these posts is to try to raise awareness of technologies that can be used to serve the Lord more effectively online.  My prayer ...

  • PCUSA RSS Feeds Resolution (or lack thereof)

It's been a week and a half since I initiated trying to add the PCUSA's missionary letters to the website.  I'm giving up for the time being.  It was a task that should have taken 5 minutes, but has involved multiple emails and haven't received a response for a week.  The feed didn't appear to be updated more ...

  • PCUSA RSS Frustrations Continue

I've subscribed to the PCUSA New RSS feed again (I now have 3 PCUSA RSS subscriptions in my reader from the last 3-6 months).  I'm really excited about the site integrating RSS, especially this feed of missionary letters, but I can't figure out how to subscribe to it or integrate it into the site.  They do a great job ...

  • I Found RSS feeds on the PCUSA's website!

Two and a half days after my RSS rant, I found feeds on the PCUSA website.  They're just buried really deep and a bit of a pain to subscribe to.  Most websites just includes a link to the feed.  That way, you can click on it to view the feed or right-click and copy its location and paste it into your viewer.  The PCUSA site ...

  • Christian Website = Hates RSS?

It's driving me crazy that I can't find Christian websites with RSS! What is RSS?  Google calls it "your inbox for the web." RSS is a technology used to help find out what's new on your favorite websites without having to visit each one and look at every page to see what's new. I use Google Reader and keep track ...
