Rev. Ginny Tiett
Director

Rev. Virginia R. Teitt, fondly known as Ginny, has been the Director of the New Wilmington Mission Conference (NWMC) since November 2016. Her extensive experience in ministry and mission work over the years perfectly equipped her for this pivotal role.

A member of the NWMC since 1997, Ginny has held numerous roles within the organization, including a six-year term on the Board of Managers, coordinating the Young Adult Program, and the creation of the GAP program for post-young adults. She has also explored diverse outreach possibilities during her tenure.

In 2003, Ginny initiated the development of the Concord Presbyterian Church, located northwest of Columbus, Ohio. This mission-focused church has inspired many members through the teachings and events at NWMC. Ginny's ministry in the U.S. has centered on engaging with the "unchurched" across various age groups, encouraging spiritual growth and engagement in local and regional mission ministries.

Known for her "reverse missions" concept, Ginny's approach fosters personal awakening and spiritual empowerment, leading local community members towards regional and global mission outreach. Her international mission efforts have taken her to Ethiopia, Thailand, Indonesia, Honduras, Haiti, Mexico, Vietnam, and recently to Catania, Sicily.

Ginny's passion for outreach extends to her local community, particularly towards immigrants and refugees. Her mentorship has also impacted missionaries serving in India, Costa Rica, and Liberia.

Beyond her mission work, Ginny has contributed to academia as a Perspectives Instructor, Adjunct Seminary Professor, and Chair of the Presbytery of Scioto Valley Global Missions Committee. Her passion for mission work comes naturally; her parents were pioneering missionaries in Sudan who translated the first New Testament in the Dinka language. Her father, Paris W. Reidhead, was a renowned mission mobilizing speaker who founded several Christian mission organizations focused on sustainable living in countries worldwide.

Married for 41 years to Jim, an Environmental Consultant, Ginny is the proud mother of seven children and grandmother of ten. All family members share a deep love for missions and evangelism. As times change, Ginny remains committed to honoring the rich legacy of the NWMC while also exploring fresh opportunities for newer generations to respond to God’s call.
