Prashan De Visser is the founder of Sri Lanka Unites, which is recognized as the largest youth movement for peace in Sri Lanka, boasting a membership of over 30,000 individuals. The organization’s primary objective is to cultivate sustainable relationships across various ethnic and religious communities through initiatives such as language learning, integration, and social projects.
Prashan is also the president of Global Unites, an organization he co-founded in 2015 with several associates. Global Unites aspires to inspire, connect, and empower youth globally to effect positive societal transformations by advocating for non-violence and reconciliation. Currently, the organization operates 13 chapters in diverse countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Colombia, and Myanmar.
His relentless commitment to promoting peace within Sri Lanka and his significant engagement with youth has garnered him recognition from Her Majesty, the late Queen Elizabeth II, in 2018.
